Bamboo trellises

One construction project taken on at the start of the tutorial was to build bamboo trellises to support vine-like plants such as pole beans and tomatoes.
Small bamboo forests grow around Caples so a few gardeners grabbed machetes, walked across the road, and got chopping.

Construction of the trellises using bamboo is a resourceful choice as, technically, bamboo is invasive to Florida. Most species grow and regrow quickly, at times taking over landscapes. Peaceful and euphonious still, bamboo is often kept around in controlled clumps.

The trellises are created simply by setting the bamboo up in a cone-shaped structure and tying it at the top with strong string.

And voilà!
