Hydroponics pond: how it works

A new feature of the garden since last Spring, the hydroponics pond is a good example of the close relationship all life has to water. Underneath the calm surface of this photo, goldfish fertilize the pond's plants and the plants cleanse the water, preventing the development of an anaerobic environment.
