Ravishing Radishes

Radishes take up a row and a half in the annual garden bed this semester. There's bound to be some spicy dishes at the end-of-semester gardening party (TBA)!

A root vegetable, radish has a peppery spice similar to horseradish or mustard. Their potent scent can repel pests from the garden, making them a great companion plant.

Radishes are commonly found in salads and slaws but their texture offers innovative opportunities like a radish burger or radish stew. Their bright, magenta color makes a beautiful garnish, if you're getting fancy.
